Tampere Bike Kitchen is an open-to-all DIY space where you can maintain your bicycle.
The Bike Kitchen is run by volunteers who are available to provide advice on bike repairs if needed.
You’ll find a comprehensive selection of basic tools as well as specialized tools required for bike maintenance at the Bike Kitchen.
The use of the Bike Kitchen is free of charge.
Basic Principles
The Bike Kitchen is an open DIY-space where everyone is welcome to repair, maintain, and build bicycles. Tampere Bike Kitchen is a religiously and party-politically unaffiliated space.
How does Bike Kitchen operate?
- Bike Kitchen is a do-it-yourself space; everyone fixes their own bike.
- Tools are available for everyone to use, but they are not lent out.
- Please return the tools to their designated places after use.
- Donated parts are available for everyone to use free of charge. Some ew consumable parts may be available for purchase.
- Using the Bike Kitchen is free of charge.
- Volunteers are available for assistance and advice upon request.
Communal Space
- Familiarize yourself with Bike Kitchen’s safer space principles.
- Let’s collectively maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the space.
- Bike Kitchen operates entirely on a volunteer basis; if you wish to participate, contact the volunteers.
Donations
- You can donate bicycle parts and bicycles to Bike Kitchen as long as they’re in a relatively good condition.
- You can donate tools and other supplies to Bike Kitchen.
- If you want to donate something else; please contact us in advance.

At the bike kitchen, each participant is responsible for creating a safe atmosphere. If you encounter any problematic situations, please inform the volunteers at the bike kitchen.
